Things you Should be Thinking About

Running Backs

Tim Hightower has become very relevant. Edge has been benched and received "ZERO" touches in yesterday's game against the Rams. Word out of Arizona is that Edge will be there #3 RB going forward. Hightower ran for over 100 yards and scored a TD. He is 3rd in the league in Rushing TD(7) and he only started his first game yesterday. If Hightower is still available in your league, pick him up, he is your new starter in a very potent offense.

With Larry Johnson suspended, and Kolby Smith out for the season, Jamaal Charles has taken over the RB duties in Kansas City. After replacing Kolby in the 2nd quarter yesterday, Charles ran for over 100 yards. Charles is one of the faster RB's in the NFL(sub 4.4) and has the potential to break a long one every time he touches the ball. The Kansas City offense is actually improving, with Tyler Thigpen becoming more comfortable with the offense. Larry Johnson is suspended next week as well and the Chiefs play the Chargers. Look for Charles to have another good day on the ground.

Ray Rice ran for over 150 yards this week as Willis Mcgahee dressed, but did not step on the field. With Mcgahee's injury problems, Ray Rice is a solid pickup. Leron(John) Mcclain will still handle all of the goaline touches, but Ray Rice is the future in Baltimore. No word yet on Willis's availability for next week, but at this point, I would rather have Rice than Mcgahee. Mcgahee is never a lock to finish the game and even when he does play, Rice has been getting between 10-12 touches per game.

Wide Receivers

Rashied Davis of the Chicago Bears has become their #1 receiver. He is the best option in Chicago. With Orton expected to miss at least a month, expect Grossman to fill in quite nicely as he needs to show teams he can still play. He got the win this week, and with another week of playing with the starting offense, he should continue to get better. Tough matchup this week against Tennessee, but they will have to pass to stay in this game. Playing in a west coast offense, Davis should continue to see plenty of looks.

In addition to the above players, these next few players should be owned in all leagues, and probably are already. If they are not, pick them up.
